As a research scientist, I focus on exploring the unknown. As a photographer, I seek unrecognized images hidden in the clutter of urban landscapes. Unseen creatures lurk in plain sight, while dragons and goddesses sit at the top of skyscrapers. My discoveries, beautiful, comic, or grotesque, still have the same power to astonish today as when they were first created. These glimpses of ancient human creativity have the potential to reawaken our sense of wonder and connectedness to the city.
